Job summary

Award Staffing Inc. is seeking a Medical Device Assembler in Forest Lake, MN. The role runs 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM to 3:30 PM, with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour.

It is a Temp to Hire position with opportunities to learn multiple roles in a clean room environment. Candidate should have at least 6 months of consistent work history and the ability to read blueprints, measure parts, and perform precise tasks.

Qualifications

• Consistent recent work history of at least 6 months at previous employers.
• Preferred experience in industrial, agricultural, or manufacturing settings.
• Experience in roles with formal processes.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand measurements.
• Ability to use rulers, tape measures, and other measuring tools.
• Ability to articulate processes clearly and in detail.
• Proficient English communication, both written and verbal.
• Strong problem-solving skills and quick timeline adaptation.
• Willingness to cross-train in multiple roles.
• Correctable eyesight with good depth perception and dexterity for small parts.
• Physical ability to sit/stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Use small hand tools to assemble medical devices and defense products.
• Inspect small parts under a microscope following set guidelines.
• Trim plastic parts using knives or cutters.
• Work in a clean room environment as needed.
• Operate manufacturing machines and record progress.
• Complete tasks accurately and on time, report quality issues.
• Keep work area clean and organized; perform other supervisor-directed tasks.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Physical requirements include sitting, standing, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending, and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers.
• Ability to stand and sit for long durations depending on daily needs.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 40lbs.
