Overview

Reporting to the Assembly Supervisor, the Assembler is primarily responsible for producing components by assembling parts and subassemblies for OEM and SCAG products.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Positions parts and subassemblies using templates or measurements.
• Assembles components, ensuring correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed components.
• Resolves assembly issues by adjusting dimensions and notifying supervisors for additional resources.
• Maintains equipment through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ensures a safe and clean work environment following procedures and regulations.
• Maintains inventory levels, anticipates needs, and manages supplies.
• Documents actions via production and quality forms.
• Contributes to team efforts and ensures compliance with safety standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team and coordinate with other departments.
• Detail-oriented with self-motivation and multi-tasking skills.
• Good finger and hand dexterity.
• Basic blueprint reading and torque knowledge.
• Experience in a technical environment, with light electrical or heavy equipment assembly preferred.
