Wood-Mizer in Batesville, IN is seeking an Assembler for 1st shift to assemble equipment and products following detailed verbal and written instructions, using hand and power tools, gauges and measuring devices. This role requires operating overhead cranes and forklifts while maintaining safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of mechanical experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to work 5am-3pm Monday-Thursday with a team-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• More than 1 year mechanical experience.
• Knowledge of production processes and methods.
• Ability to use various hand and air tools.
• Ability to assemble parts and equipment per specifications.
• Ability to follow proper safety protocols.
• Ability to retain learned knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Follow verbal and written work instructions to assemble equipment and products.
• Use hand and power tools, measuring instruments and gauges.
• Follow quality and assembly process requirements.
• Reassemble or rework units as required.
• Maintain alignment within tolerances.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as required.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment per procedures and regulations.
• Train other employees.
• Meet or exceed standard hours for each job.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
