Liberty Pumps in Town of Bergen, NY, seeks an assembler to correctly assemble and test pumps, systems, and related products using hand tools, testers, work instructions, and BOMs. You will work in a team environment to meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities include bench-type mechanical and electrical assemblies, using electronic and pneumatic tools, reporting defects, maintaining a clean 6S workspace, and following ISO 9001 and safety guidelines. Prior production experience preferred.

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read work instructions.
• Experience with bench-type mechanical and electrical assemblies.

Responsabilités

• Assemble and test pumps and related products per work instructions.
• Perform bench-type assemblies of mechanical and electrical components.
• Use electronic and pneumatic tools to build products.
• Identify defective materials and report to Quality.
• Maintain a clean, 6S workspace and follow PM where applicable.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as required.
• Adhere to production schedules with minimal supervision.
• Participate in team meetings and projects.
• Follow ISO 9001 requirements and safety guidelines.

Summary:

Correctly assembles and tests pumps, systems, and related products to customer expectations using hand tools, testers, work instructions, and Bill of Materials while working in a team environment.

• Performs bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies per work instructions, Bill of Materials, and best practices.


• Demonstrate ability to use electronic and pneumatic tools to build product.


• Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Quality Department per defined reject process.


• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition to 6S standards.


• Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment as required per PM requirements.


• Operates both stationary and moving overhead cranes as necessary.


• Operates fork truck or hand pallet jack as necessary.


• Works at the directions of the Department Supervisor and Team Leads.


• Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision.


• Participates in Team meetings and projects.


• Works effectively in a team environment.


• You will be expected to operate according to ISO 9001 requirements.


• Held responsible and accountable to follow safety guidelines, maintain a clean and organized work area, and use good safety judgment. Expected to report all unsafe activities and conditions to the Supervisor and/or Safety Representative.
