Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Ridgecrest, CA facility is seeking an Assembler 1 or 2 to interpret diagrams, follow work instructions and assemble components to exact specifications.

The role requires lifting up to 30 lbs, basic PPE, and US citizenship. Level-2 candidates with 2+ years in assembly/electronics or an associate degree are preferred, and active DoD clearance is a plus. Shift 2nd with differential pay.

Qualifications

• Entry-Level: HS Diploma or GED, 0–2 years in assembly or electronics.
• 2+ years assembly/electronics OR an Associate degree in electronics.
• Proficient in interpreting written instructions and technical drawings.
• Ability to meet performance standards in a metric-driven environment.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform continuity checks and disassemble/modify/reassemble components as needed.

Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems, Advanced Weapons in Ridgecrest, CA is currently seeking an Assembler 1 or 2.

Key Responsibilities

• As an assembler, you will be responsible for interpreting and executing work based on diagrams, engineering drawings, and detailed work instructions to meet stringent customer specifications.
• This role also includes performing continuity checks, and as needed, disassembling, modifying, reworking, and reassembling components.
• Workmanship Certification: Candidates selected for this role must successfully complete internal workmanship training programs to maintain employment.

Shift and Work Hours

• Shift: 2nd shift - 2pm-11:30PM.
• Shift differential pay is available for this position.

Basic Qualifications

• Entry-Level (Level 1): High School Diploma or GED 0–2 years of experience in assembly or electronics
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• U.S. Citizenship required

Experienced Level (Level 2) Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of assembly/electronics experience OR an Associate degree in an electronic or technical discipline
• Proficient in interpreting written instructions and technical drawings
• Demonstrated ability to meet performance standards in a metric-driven manufacturing environment
• Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
• Ability to wear required PPE
• U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

• Active DoD Security Clearance

Salary

• Primary Level Salary Range: $36,500.00 - $60,800.00
• Secondary Level Salary Range: $43,400.00 - $72,300.00

• Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay
• Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results
