Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking to hire Assembler 2’s for our Charlottesville, VA site.

In this position you will:

• Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
• Work from diagrams and drawings, make initial layouts, and use hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
• Make continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies.
• May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
• Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

Position Summary / Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed tasks from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
• Work from operation sheets, diagrams, and drawings.
• Use hand and/or power tools, including soldering irons.
• Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies.
• Conduct quality inspections as per specifications.
• Obtain and maintain workmanship certifications.
• Willing to work overtime.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of additional education and/or manufacturing experience.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 30 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• IPC 610/620 Workmanship Certification.
• J-STD-001 Certification.

Salary Range: $36,300.00 - $60,500.00. The salary considers various factors such as responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, and other benefits including health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plans, paid holidays, and PTO.
