Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Fenestration in Williamsport, MD is seeking an assembler for the off-line assembly area or 4-bar area to build finished products per customer specs and company policies.

The role includes operating Bench Master punch presses and air press assemblies, performing hand assembly, and maintaining quality and safety records. The shift is Monday-Thursday, 5am-3:30pm, with up to 50 lbs lifting and a focus on meeting daily production goals.

Qualifications

• Good dexterity.
• General math skills required.
• Ability to read blueprints is a plus.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform general hand assembly.
• Operate Bench Master punch press.
• Operate air press assembly.
• Work in butt hinge assembly, installing bushings and pins.
• Use two-hand trip machines to finish pieces.
• Package materials with proper labeling for shipment.
• Strive to meet daily quotas for each function.
• Document quality checks and safety checks.
• Maintain a neat, clean workstation.
• Assist others with tasks as needed.
• Read and follow job instructions.

Essential Job Functions And Accountabilities

• Performing general hand assembly
• Operating Bench Master punch press
• Operate air press assembly
• Work in butt hinge assembly, which involves installing bushing, pin installation, using hand and air assembly with a two hand trip machine
• Operating various two hand trip machines to finish pieces through hand assembly
• Packaging of materials with proper labeling to be shipped
• You must strive to meet daily quotas for the various functions
• Ensure quality checks are performed and documented
• Perform daily safety checks and document
• Perform job duties in a safe manner
• Maintains workstation in neat and clean condition.
• Assists other workers with specific tasks as requested.
• Ability to read and follow job instructions
