Job summary

Hanwha Aerospace USA is seeking an Assembler I in Cheshire, CT to assemble aircraft components per operation sheets and blueprints. You will use a variety of hand tools and machinery, perform quality inspections, and ensure parts meet BP specifications. The role supports first shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with a focus on precision and safety.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of assembly experience, reads blueprints, and communicates effectively in English. A U.S.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in assembly, preferably in an Aerospace Manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aerospace components following operation sheets and blueprints.
• Inspect and verify quality of work at completion using measuring tools.
• Use micrometers and calipers to verify tolerances to BP standards.
• File and deburr parts; drill, tap, ream, and countersink as required.
• Bolt, rivet, and assemble components; disassemble and replace parts as needed.
• Perform 6S in the work area and support safety and production goals.

Summary:

Our Precision Components division is looking for an Assembler to assemble aircraft component parts following operation sheets & blueprints using a variety of small hand tools and machinery.

Essential Functions:

• Assemble complex aerospace components.
• Inspect and verify quality of work when complete.
• Using micrometers and calipers to verify work performed is conforming to BP tolerance
• Files and buff part to fit.
• Drill, tap, ream, countersink parts using a Bridgeport.
• Positions and aligns parts.
• Bolts, screws, and rivets parts together.
• Disassemble and replace parts as required.
• Cleans and lubricates parts and assemblies.
• Lift pieces and positions and secures it on a machine table or in holding fixtures.
• Assist other assemblers and employees as required to meet production and safety requirements.
• Performs daily 6S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, safety) activities in work area
• Perform other related duties or responsibilities as required.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related data
• High School Degree or G.E.D
• 1+ years of experience in assembly preferably in a Aerospace Manufacturing environment

• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization
• Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering work instructions
