Job summary

CoWorx Staffing Services in Sterling, MA is seeking an assembler to package materials and products manually. The role runs Monday through Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm, focusing on assembling small plastic medical products and ensuring accuracy of quality records.

The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma or GED (or 12 months related experience), strong reading/comprehension of procedures, and the ability to communicate effectively with a team and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Assemble small plastic medical products.
• Operate automatic and manual bagging equipment.
• Follow work instructions including weighing and measuring of product.
• Glue and assemble components.
• Clean products with alcohol when necessary.
• Obtain and sort products for packaging.
• Inspect materials during each packaging step.
• Assemble cartons and labels.
• Ensure accurate completion of quality records.
• General housekeeping including cleaning tables and trash removal.
• Cross train to operate pad printing equipment.

Job Description:

CoWorx is seeking Assemblers in the Sterling, MA area!
This position will package materials and products manually by performing the following duties.
Shift: Monday – Friday @ 6:00am to 2:30pm

Location: Sterling, Massachusetts

Responsibilities:

• Assembling of small plastic medical products
• Runs automatic and manual bagging equipment
• Follows work instructions that include any applicable weighing and measuring of product
• Glue and assemble components
• Clean the products with alcohol (only when necessary)
• Obtain and sort products
• Inspect materials and products, during each step of the defined packaging process
• Assemble cartons and labels
• Ensure accurate completion of quality records
• General housekeeping; including cleaning tables daily and trash removal
• Cross train to work with pad printing equipment, as required

Desired Background/Skills:

• To perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Need to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Required to speak effectively before groups of customers/vendors or employees of organization.
• Needs to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Basic accounting mathematical problems.
• Need to deal with standardized situations with only occasional guidance or no variables.
• Must have stress tolerance and skill to be adaptable when dealing with customer needs.
