Job summary

Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation seeks a dedicated Assembly technician for its South Windham, CT facility. The role is full-time on the 1st shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) with a pay range of $22.00–$28.00 per hour.

Responsible for assembling components, following blueprints, and maintaining a safe, efficient work area in a DoD-relevant manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates show precision, reliability, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required per DoD requirements.
• Prompt punctuality and attendance.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Box Truck Driving Experience.
• Forklift Experience.
• Experience in quality assurance a plus.
• Takes initiative.

• Gathers necessary parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials to complete the job.

• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.

• Work Location: South Windham, CT (10 minutes from Willimantic and 20 minutes from Norwich, CT).

Physical & Mental:

General: Position requires ability to concentrate on details with occasional interruption and attend to tasks for 45 to 60 minutes at a time. Ability to understand theories behind related concepts and to remember multiple tasks given to self and others over periods of time; ability to prioritize given shifting priorities; ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.

Environmental & Working Conditions:

Industrial shop setting. Dust, dirt, metal debris from manufacturing will be encountered. Moderate levels of noise will be encountered.
