Job summary

Kubota Tractor Corporation is seeking an Assembly Line Worker to safely complete final tractor assembly and conduct daily inspections of forklifts and cranes. You will perform line duties, rework as needed, and ensure units meet customer specifications while driving completed units to the staging area.

Candidates should be able to operate hand tools, reach and handle heavy equipment, and follow English instructions to maintain a safe production environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience using hand tools and air-driven tools.
  • Ability to operate overhead cranes.
  • Experience driving forklifts and scissor lifts.
  • English proficiency for following directions and safety communications.

Responsibilities

  • Safely, accurately, and efficiently complete final assembly of tractors to meet customer demand.
  • Ensure daily inspections are completed for forklifts, overhead cranes, and all other equipment before use in assembly.
  • Perform specific duties on the assembly line as assigned.
  • Perform rework on units if/when needed.
  • Check the quality of completed units and confirm they are equipped to customer’s requests and submit completed checklists.
  • Drive completed units to the staging area.
  • May oversee the return of recycled crates and tires to KBT.

  • Certified to operate various equipment including but not limited to; stand up/sit down forklifts, stock chaser and/or cherry pickers as required according to OSHA standards.
  • Knowledge, skill and ability to safely manage loads of heavy equipment, tires and/or pallets of parts.
  • Ability to use computer systems and/or RF scanner to input and retrieve information.
  • Basic math and computer skills required.
  • High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others and promote a safe work environment.
  • Follow and adhere to all policies and procedures.

PHYSICAL EXPECTATIONS
  • Regularly sitting and/or standing on powered equipment.
  • Frequently lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, turn, pivot, walk and/or stand for 8+ hours.
  • A good sense of balance and coordination.
  • Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures depending upon the season both indoors and out.
  • Ability to wear various PPE including fall protection harnesses, seat belt restraints and gloves.
