Job summary

ABB Smart Power division in the United States seeks a production assembler to read technical diagrams and interpret instructions for assembling products, systems, and panels on the shop floor. This onsite role emphasizes accuracy and adherence to production processes.

You will primarily perform assembly work, use light hand tools, and conduct routine quality checks while maintaining a clean work area and following SOPs to ensure safety and efficiency. Eligibility to work in the US is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Be able to use basic hardware tools (screwdrivers, spaners, measuring tape, crimpers, cutters, etc).
• Preferably experience in manufacturing jobs.
• Candidates must already have work authorization to work in the US for ABB.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including packing if integrated with production lines.
• Perform work manually or with light hand tools.
• Carry out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.

Your Role And Responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the unit in achieving the set production targets by adhering to the systems and processes. Each day, you will use machinery and equipment on the shop floor. You will also showcase your expertise by reading and interpreting the technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels.

The work model for the role is: onsite

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Conducting all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including the packing where integrated with production lines.
• Performing work manually or by using light hand tools.
• Carrying out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.
• Operating within standard operating procedures and maintaining a clean work area.
