Job summary

Quanex Building Products Corporation is seeking an Assembler in Parkersburg, WV to cut and assemble window screen frames per specifications, using a computer-driven measuring device. The role requires accuracy and teamwork on a 7am–3:30pm schedule, Monday through Friday.

You will monitor quality, maintain 5S standards, and follow safety guidelines while documenting production data and supporting other areas when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months of assembly or related production experience preferred.
• Ability to use hand tools including tape measure, air drill, and pneumatic saws.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor products to ensure quality standards.
• Maintain the work area in a neat and orderly condition per 5S standards.
• Follow safety procedures and report safety issues.
• Assist in other work areas when workload permits or requires.
• Promote teamwork by cooperating with co-workers.
• Complete production documentation.
• Assemble components per customer specifications and quality standards.
• Inspect products for defects or errors.
• Verify size, color, and configuration using labeling systems.

In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with team members to cut and assemble window screen frames to changing specifications, using a computer-driven measuring device.

Hours of Operation: 7am to 3:30pm Monday thru Friday

What Success Looks Like:

• Monitor products constantly to ensure quality standards.

• Thoroughly inspect products for defects or errors.
• Verify size, color, and configuration of production utilizing labeling systems.

Your Credentials:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 6 months of production, assembly or related work experience preferred.
• Ability to use hand tools including tape measure, air drill, and pneumatics saws.
• Ability to follow both written and verbal communication.

The hourly wage for this position is $16.00, with bonus potential.
