Job summary

Quanex is seeking an assembler for our Parkersburg, WV location. You will collaborate with team members to cut and assemble window screen frames to changing specifications, using a computer-driven measuring device.

The role operates 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with bonus potential and a path for growth. The ideal candidate has at least 6 months in production or assembly, can use common hand tools, and can follow written and verbal instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 6 months of production, assembly or related work experience preferred.
• Ability to use hand tools including tape measure, air drill, and pneumatics saws.
• Ability to follow both written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitor products to ensure quality standards.
• Maintain a neat, 5S compliant work area.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards.
• Assist in other work areas when needed.
• Promote teamwork and cooperate with coworkers.
• Complete production documentation accurately.
• Assemble components per customer specifications and quality standards.
• Inspect products for defects or errors.
• Verify size, color, and configuration using labeling systems.

What Success Looks Like:

• Monitor products constantly to ensure quality standards.

Your Credentials:

The hourly wage for this position is $16.00, with bonus potential.
