Job summary

Thompson First Group is seeking Assemblers for contract-to-hire roles with a local client in Cinnaminson, NJ. You will work on a production line assembling mechanical parts and subassemblies to required specifications, using a variety of tools and equipment, and adhering to safety and quality requirements.

Responsibilities include following assembly instructions, inspecting finished work, documenting production steps, and contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or industrial setting experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Thompson First Group is seeking Assemblers for contract to hire positions with a local client in Cinnaminson, NJ.

Candidates with experience working in a manufacturing or in an industrial setting are encouraged to apply.

Job Purpose:
Assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line or production floor in a manufacturing organization.

Responsibilities:

• Accident prevention – actively identify, correct and/or report safety hazards to prevent accidents.
• Actively identify and pursue cost reduction and efficiency/profit improvement opportunities.
• Support the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and the Quality Policy calling for self-inspection of your work product.
• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
• Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Lifting production objects of up to 50 lbs.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent
