Job summary

Epiroc invites applicants for an onsite Assembler role at the Delhi, IA facility to operate and maintain assembly equipment safely, ensuring quality and production standards are met. The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety, and reliability in a manufacturing environment.

Under supervision, you will assemble units using various tools, perform hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical work, test finished goods, and prepare items for shipment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electric systems.
  • Highly skilled in using hand tools, electric and air-powered tools; some welder/plasma skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify safety hazards, suggest corrective actions, and follow procedures to keep a safe work environment.
  • Assemble units using hand and power tools, drills, grinders, and related equipment.
  • Perform hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical installations and finishing work.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems and verify parts against blueprints.
  • Test, package, crate, and prepare finished goods for shipment or storage.
  • Operate forklift to load/unload and move materials if certified.
  • Maintain 5S standards and support quality and productivity goals.
  • Complete inventory paperwork and computer transactions as needed.
  • Adhere to SQDC metrics and mobility within the department as required.

Under the direction of the Value Stream Leader and Senior Team Leader, the Assembleris responsible foroperatingand maintaining assembly equipment in a safe and efficient manner to achieve the quality and production standards of the company.

This position will be based onsite at our Delhi, IA facility. This job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship

Responsibilities:

  • Identifysafety hazards, suggest corrective actions, and follow company safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Assemble units using various tools (hand, power, electric, and air-powered drills; wrenches; grinders, nail/staple gun, paint gun, overhead crane, pallet jack, etc.).
  • Perform hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical installations, grinding, and touch-up painting.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems and verify parts against blueprints.
  • Test, package, crate, and prepare finished goods for shipment or proper location storage.
  • If certified,operatea forklift to load/unload trucks and organize materials.
  • Maintain 5S standards and perform related duties to support quality and productivity goals.
  • Complete inventory paperwork and computer transactions as needed.
  • Adhere to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) metrics.
  • Mobility to move within the department/plant asrequired.

Knowledge/Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Requires advance knowledge of hydraulic and electric systems, highly skilled in the use of all hand tools, electric, and air power along with some skills in wire feed welder and plasma.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to interpret blueprints and measuring devices. Some knowledgeingas and diesel engines.
