Job summary

Epiroc USA LLC is seeking a Production Assembler to operate and maintain assembly equipment, read blueprints, and weld as required. This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and quality in a heavy-duty manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include interpreting work orders, using hand tools, and moving parts on the shop floor with proper PPE. This position requires physical stamina and compliance with all safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in heavy duty machining/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read tape measure and blueprints.
• Demonstrated skill level of MIG welding.
• Ability to read and understand work order routings and instructions.
• Ability to layout parts using weld fixtures.
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, problem solving skills and interpersonal skills.

Job description

Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, the Production Assembler is responsible for operating and maintaining assembly equipment in a safe and efficient manner to achieve the quality and production standards of the company.

Read, interpret and understand blueprints and welding symbols to complete job assignments.

• Use hand tools, clamps and grinders to perform job tasks.
• Adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices.
• Any other duties that fall within the employee’s capabilities.
• Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling can be expected.
• Long periods of sitting and walking can also be expected in this position.
• Use of basic tools and equipment.
• Occasional exposure to typical manufacturing areas may be required and will require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection.
• The work environment will include their own workstation or cubicle space equipped with a telephone, headset and computer as required for the job.
• Team member must be mobile enough to navigate the manufacturing shop floor safely including walking and standing for up to four hours at a time.

Experience and requirements:
