Job summary

Westaff is hiring Assemblers in Georgetown, MA to join a daytime, full-time manufacturing team. This role offers weekly pay and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and retirement savings.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of manufacturing experience. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 6am–2:30pm, with ability to lift 10–30 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assembles components by checking connections for fit and fastening parts.
• Must be able to pass physical exam, background, and drug screening.
• Stand/walk for long periods; lift 10–30 lbs.
• Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Schedule of the Assembler:

Monday – Friday

6am – 2:30pm

$20

Essential Functions:

• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.


• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.


• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.


• Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast paced, large non-temperature controlled manufacturing environment.


• Ability to lift 10-30 lbs. with the assistance of another employee or using a cart


• Standing a minimum of 8 hours a day


• Sitting a minimum of 0 hours a day


• Walking a minimum of 8 hours a day


• Pulling/Pushing a minimum of 4 hours a day


• Ability to pass physical exam, criminal background and drug screening

Required Experience:

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
