Job summary

Teledyne Micropac is seeking an assembler to perform a wide range of electronic and electro‑mechanical assembly operations. The role includes wiring, hand soldering, cable harnessing, and wire bonding under microscopes to meet strict blueprints and specifications.

You will follow drawings and procedures, perform setups, and ensure quality throughout production while maintaining safety and cleanliness, with potential training support and collaboration with engineers.

Qualifications

  • Excellent manual dexterity and manufacturing knowledge with small parts and tools.
  • Ability to read engineer drawings, work instructions and BOMs.
  • Quality‑minded with strong attention to detail and precision in execution.
  • Knowledge of FOD control is required.
  • High School Diploma and basic computer skills are necessary.
  • 1–2 years in manufacturing assembly or cleanroom environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follow production drawings, procedures and work instructions in detail for high‑reliability applications.
  • Ensure quality checks are completed throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Operate and set up Wire Bonding equipment for thermosonic gold and aluminum bonds.
  • Collaborate with teammates, quality control and process engineers to meet specifications.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness protocols and attentiveness to details.
  • Assist with training and perform assembly duties as directed by Supervisor.
  • Perform delicate hand assembly of electronics using solder, epoxy, and wire bonding under microscopes.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality requirements.

Job Description

Teledyne Micropac is looking for an Assembler who performs a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, welding and fitting on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

What you’ll do
  • Follow production drawings, procedures and work instructions in detail, understands and applies established workmanship practices for all facets of satellites, medical, defense/aerospace and high reliability industrial applications
  • Ensure that quality checks are completed throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Operate and set up Manual Wire Bonding equipment to perform thermosonic gold wire and aluminum wire bonding.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teammates, quality control and process engineers to ensure product meets strict specifications.
  • Attentiveness to details and adherence to safety and cleanliness protocols are essential.
  • Assist with training as required.
  • Perform production assembler duties as determined by Supervisor.
  • Delicate hand assembly of electronics devices using solder, epoxy, and wire bonding techniques specifically under the microscopes.
  • Inspect completed work to quality requirements.
What you need
  • Possess excellent manual dexterity, manufacturing knowledge. Experience with small parts, small hand tools, equipment, and microscope - required
  • Ability to read and work from engineer drawings, work instructions and bills of material to understand the required parts and steps needed to complete the assigned assembly - required
  • Possess a solid, quality minded work ethic and a strong attention to detail with a strong desire for precision and accuracy when executing job duties. - required
  • Knowledge of Foreign Object Debris (FOD control.) - required
  • High School Diploma and basic computer skills are a necessity - required
  • A minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in a manufacturing assembly, production environment, or cleanroom experience is essential - required
  • If overtime is necessary, reasonable efforts will be made to provide employees with adequate advance notice, however, sometimes overtime may be mandatory.
