Job summary

Equipment Development Company in Frederick, MD is seeking an Assembler to build and assemble a variety of machines on a daily basis. You will follow detailed drawings, perform heavy lifting, and operate a stand-up forklift as needed.

ASSEMBLER

Full-time Regular Manual Labor Frederick, MD, US

Salary Range: $18.39 To $23.51 Hourly

Role and Responsibilities

• Follow drawings to assemble machines
• Build a variety of machines on a daily basis
• Operate a forklift as required
• Perform heavy lifting (up to 80 lbs.) regularly
• Complete tasks as directed by team leads with minimum supervision
• May work at different workstations as production needs require during the assembly process
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Incumbent shall have a high school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of basic electric and shop math is required.

• Must be dependable and work as part of a team
• Must be able to maintain continuous mental and visual focus and have good hand-eye coordination
• Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
• Ability to relocate small equipment on a waist high table as required
• Routine bending from waist to perform assembly tasks
• Routine bending and squatting to get parts off pallet
• Occasionally drive a stand-up forklift
• Available to work overtime when necessary

• Ability to hear/talk frequently
• Ability to walk and frequently reach as well as use hands-finger objects and tools

Personal protective Equipment:

A warehouse setting with concrete floors. The temperature will vary with the seasons (hot/cold). The use of stairs may be necessary, yet an elevator is available. The noise level is loud.
