Job summary

HDT Global in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an Assembly Technician to set up and operate machinery, perform advanced assembly tasks, and install components per contract specifications. You will interpret blueprints and process flow instructions, following written and visual guides to complete tasks on schedule.

The role requires experience with hand and power tools, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs (75 lbs occasionally), and willingness to work overtime including weekends.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of manufacturing related experience preferred.
  • Experience with hand and power tools required.
  • Ability to read blueprints preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate assigned machinery.
  • Perform advanced-level assembly functions from models/drawings.
  • Install components to contract specifications using hand and power tools.
  • Interpret blueprints, Process Flow Instructions and other instructions.
  • Follow work instructions to complete tasks within time limits.
  • Adhere to all quality and safety standards.
  • Support other projects and duties as assigned.

The primary function of this position is to be responsible and accountable for producing quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budget.

What You'll Do:
  • As an Assembler, you will be responsible for setting up and operating assigned machinery
  • Performs advanced-level assembly functions, which may include; prep, mechanical, spray application, and inspection, typically working from models and/or drawings, within Production
  • Installation of components to contract specifications, using a wide range of hand and power tools and equipment
  • Interprets blueprints, Process Flow Instructions and other written or verbal instructions
  • Follows both visual and written work instructions in order to complete assigned tasks within set time allotted
  • Adheres to all quality and safety standards
  • Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned
Candidate Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of three years of manufacturing related experience preferred
  • Experience with hand and power tools required
  • Ability to read blueprints preferred
  • Must be able to lift and push up to 50 lbs, repetitive motion, with occasional lifting/pushing up to 75 lbs
  • Ability to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required per plant rules
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime when necessary, including weekends
