We have an outstanding Contract position for anAssemblerto join a leading Company located in theHouston, TX surrounding area.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing standard assembly processes, reworks and repairs on manufactured equipment and products. Assembler Level III employees must be able to read blueprints and drawings as well as be knowledgeable in the use of precision measuring instruments.
- Works under limited to no supervision, performs a variety of assembly operations associated with the manufacturing of e products , small mechanical or electro-mechanical parts, or equipment housing or large equipment such as engines, engine and PTO drive trains, transmissions, diesel and natural gas generators, control equipment, covers/cowlings, related connecting lines, etc.
- Must be able to assemble, which may include fitting, mounting, alignment, adjusting, and operational testing and other duties.
- Employee promotes and contributes safety awareness.
- Promote and takes an active part in quality and continuous improvement processes.
- Performs preventive maintenance, inspects production equipment, and performs minor repairs.
- Employees must be able to read blueprints and drawings as well as be knowledgeable in the use of precision measuring instruments.
- Tasks include performing manufacturing math calculations and use of specialized lifting equipment.
- Working knowledge of equipment capabilities and limitations
- Troubleshot scenarios to determine the safest and most efficient way to repair a piece of equipment.
Basic Hiring Criteria
- High School Graduate or equivalent and two to ten years related experience minor repairs.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow work instructions.
- Must be proficient in basic hand and power tools.
- Must be proficient in basic measurement tools (Tape measure, rulers, squares).
- Basic understanding of calibration tools. (Torque Wrench)
- Min of 5 years of heavy equipment assembly
- Employees must be able to read blueprints and drawings as well as be knowledgeable in the use of precision measuring instruments.
- Good understanding of MS computer programs. (Work, Email, PDM)
- Good knowledge of fluid power schematics and associated symbols.
- Good understanding of UEM quality policy and standards.
- Good standing with company policies.
- Working knowledge of equipment capabilities and limitations
- Must possess comprehensive knowledge of all build processes within the Manufacturing production shop.
- Ability to make decisions to keep lines progressing.
- Ability to lead a project/crew at times.
- Good communication skills and customer service.
- Good standing with company policies.
