Job summary

Amsted Rail is seeking a hands-on assembler, capable of detailed assembly and dis-assembly of products and subassemblies per engineering drawings and control plans. The role includes inspections, minor welding, time-tracking, and setting up workstations, with emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to use pneumatic tools and a crane, basic math, and PC use. This on-site position requires physical stamina and adherence to QA documents.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to use common and pneumatic hand tools safely.
  • Ability to do basic math, count properly and read and understand written documentation.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift or move a minimum of 95 lbs. approximately 8-10 times per hour safely.
  • Must be able to operate pneumatic grinder for up to 5 hours per day.
  • Must be able to use a crane to assist in lifting parts and be able to push these suspended parts safely.
  • Must be able to operate a personal computer without assistance.
