Job summary

Amsted Rail Company Inc. is seeking a general labor candidate to perform a variety of duties in an industrial setting. The role involves material handling, cleaning, palletizing, sorting materials, and basic maintenance tasks in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts and cranes, keeping areas clean, maintaining inventory, and performing additional duties as needed. A high school education is required and prior industrial experience is a plus.

Job description

To perform a variety of duties not otherwise classified, requiring no particular skill or training and is classified as general labor such as: moving and handling materials, palletizing, shoveling, sorting materials, counting parts/materials, painting, sweeping, cleanup work, and other janitorial duties.

Physical requirements

Must have full range of body motion. Certain operations require repetitive bending, squatting and full arm extension. Manual lifting, not exceeding fifty (50) pounds may be required. Able to visit various manufacturing environments, and wear appropriate PPE such as hardhat, safety glass/goggles, protective jackets/aprons, safety toe boots.
