Job summary

Shape Technologies Group is seeking dependable Assemblers to join our Baxter Springs, Kansas team. This role involves assembling waterjet components, reading blueprints, and using hand and power tools to ensure quality assemblies."

The position supports a Monday-Thursday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM schedule with Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM and offers competitive pay, a climate-controlled facility, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing, assembly, mechanical, or production experience preferred but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly instructions is a plus.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attendance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Assemble waterjet components, including valves, hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and completed units according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
• Use hand tools, power tools, torque equipment, and measuring devices to complete assemblies.
• Inspect and test completed assemblies to verify quality and functionality.
• Identify and report quality concerns or assembly issues.
• Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to support manufacturing goals.
• Maintain accurate assembly and production records.
• Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
