Job summary

LOOS & CO., INC. is seeking an Entry-Level Machinist to support tool and die shop operations and assist with basic machining tasks. You will learn to operate manual mills, lathes, and other shop equipment while developing blueprint reading and precision measurement skills.

You will work with supervisors and engineers to meet production needs, maintain quality and safety standards, and grow into more advanced tooling and die responsibilities within a supportive manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Interest in machining, tool and die work, manufacturing or skilled trades.
• Basic math skills including fractions and measurements.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn precision workmanship.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and operation of manual mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, saws and other shop equipment.
• Support tooling, dies, fixtures, gauges, and precision parts production and maintenance.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints and job travelers.
• Measure parts with calipers and micrometers and other precision tools.
• Maintain clean and safe work area; participate in safety and quality programs.
• Communicate with supervisors and team to meet production schedules and quality standards.
