Job summary

Custom Control Sensors, LLC is seeking a skilled machinist to lay out common dies and tooling, set up manual lathes and mills, and fabricate precision tooling. The role requires reading complex blueprints, inspecting parts, and maintaining tight tolerances in a high-precision metalworking environment.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma and at least five years of experience or an accredited apprenticeship, with strong attention to detail and teamwork in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets complex blueprints and inspection specifications with good tolerance understanding.
• Reads, writes and follows written and verbal instructions in English.
• Operates machine tools to fabricate and repair metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures.
• Maintains precise tooling and fixtures, ensures dimensional accuracy to tight tolerances.
• Works in a team and adheres to safety and ITAR compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates manual lathes, mills, grinders and related equipment.
• Fabricates and maintains tooling for dies and fixtures; troubleshoots, modifies and repairs tooling.
• Measures parts with inspection devices and ensures conformance to drawings.
• Loads, aligns and assembles dies and tooling for production runs.
• Maintains housekeeping and safety practices in the shop.
