Job summary

Liberty Mutual Surety is launching an Associate Surety Underwriter role as part of the Surety Underwriting Development Program (SUDP). This 12-month development track blends finance, risk assessment, and relationship building to prepare you for underwriting leadership.

You’ll gain hands-on experience analyzing financial statements, evaluating contracts and project risk, and developing professional networks with agents, brokers, and customers while pursuing the AFSB designation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or Business with a 3.0+ GPA.
• Experience with finance and accounting coursework; ability to read financial statements.
• 0–2 years of professional experience.
• Global mindset and adaptability to different cultures.
• Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation and decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; relationship focus.
• Prior internship in finance is a plus.
• Willing to relocate after program completion.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements and assess financial strength for underwriting.
