Job summary

Hibbett is seeking a Manager in Training to assist the Store Manager with overall operations and admin duties. You will become knowledgeable in every product area and help promote sales, while delivering outstanding customer service and representing the Hibbett I City Gear brand.

You will step in during the Store Manager’s absence and guide staff to meet store goals, optimize merchandising, restocking, and scheduling, and ensure assets and policies are followed in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and meet goals.
• Self-starter with initiative and task ownership.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager on action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Take store-wide responsibility in the Store Manager's absence.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to complete department responsibilities and standards.
• Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and trends.
• Maintain high-quality customer service standards.
• Handle general administrative duties as needed.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service and promote store promotions.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Uphold all company policies and procedures as documented.
• Protect assets and financial information; flag fraud risks.
