Job summary

Uncommon Schools in New York City is seeking Principal Fellows to develop into future school leaders. This full-time fellowship trains candidates to co-lead a high-performing Uncommon school alongside an experienced Director of Operations.

The program emphasizes feedback, school immersion, and professional development to build instructional leadership, teacher development, school culture, and family engagement.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of teaching experience with evidence of outstanding student growth and achievement.
• At least 1 year of experience coaching, leading, and/or managing teachers (e.g., Assistant Principal, Dean of Curriculum, Instructional Leader).
• Experience teaching core subjects (Math, ELA, Science, History) is preferred.
• A Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead a school alongside an Uncommon Director of Operations.
• Provide rigorous feedback via classroom observations and professional development.
