Prime Healthcare is seeking a Student Respiratory Therapist for Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, TX. This temporary, day-shift position provides hands-on learning under direct supervision by a Registered Respiratory Therapist.

Qualifications

• Must be approved with State Respiratory Therapy board to work as a Student Respiratory Therapist.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain.
• Enrolled in accredited respiratory program with at least first semester completed; preference for more semesters or prior medical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Not eligible to work if not enrolled in an accredited program.

Responsabilités

• Administer respiratory treatments such as oxygen therapy and aerosol medications.
• Monitor oxygen levels and breathing patterns using pulse oximeters.
• Assist in drawing and analyzing ABG samples.
• Observe and adjust ventilator settings under supervision.
• Assist with initial patient assessments and report findings to supervising RTs.
