Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking a Commercial Construction Assistant Project Manager in Los Angeles. The APM will gather and distribute information to keep projects on time, on budget, and to the required quality.

You will learn a defined leadership path while supporting multiple projects with the project team. Responsibilities include maintaining safety standards, budgeting support, developing pre-construction materials, and coordinating meetings, RFIs, submittals, and pay applications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business strongly preferred.
• In lieu of a degree, additional relevant work experience is acceptable.
• 2–5 years in commercial construction, including experience with a general contractor.
• Experience on commercial job sites is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with project software and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety standards on all sites and ensure proper documentation.
• Assist in creating and managing project budgets for assigned projects.
• Develop pre-construction RFP package and support project meetings.
• Set milestones, prepare monthly owner reports, and track schedules.
• Administer RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and change orders.
• Coordinate with project superintendent and site operations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support closeout processes and ensure quality control.
