Job summary

Nemacolin in Pennsylvania’s Laurel Highlands seeks a Pastry Junior Sous Chef to lead daily pastry kitchen operations, guiding team members and ensuring precision, creativity, and consistency in breads, desserts, and confections.

You will collaborate with the Sous Chef on ordering, inventory, rotation, and seasonal menu development while upholding sanitation and hospitality excellence for luxury resort guests.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of progressive pastry experience in luxury hospitality.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in a pastry kitchen preferred.
• Working knowledge of pastry production, inventory management, food safety, and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations in the pastry kitchen alongside the Sous Chef.
• Supervise production of breads, pastries, desserts, and confections.
• Coordinate production schedules and manage prep par levels for service and events.
• Monitor quality, portion control, and presentation to meet culinary standards.
