Job summary

NC State University Outdoor Adventures is seeking an Assistant Trip Leader to help guide students in exploring the outdoors. This entry-level, part-time role supports lead activities across half-day, full-day, and weekend trips, as well as workshops and clinics, while developing leadership, risk management, and instructional skills.

You will assist in trip planning, equipment preparation, and group management, with a focus on safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Trip and Workshop Leadership: Assist trip leaders with all aspects of a trip, including group development, risk management, and instruction of technical skills.
• Program Education and Marketing: Help market trips to the campus community and educate others about all Outdoor Adventures programs.
• Logistics and Equipment: Prepare equipment for trips and maintain gear by checking it in and out, cleaning, disinfecting, and performing minor repairs.
