Job summary

University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY seeks a Student: Campus Recreation Outdoor Adventures Trip Leader Fall 2026. This part-time, hourly role requires a registered UK student to lead outdoor trips and assist with trip planning, safety, and coordination.

You will participate in pre-trip meetings, conduct participant briefings, and help promote trips throughout the semester. Leaders will manage at least two trips per season and maintain certifications (WFR, First Aid, CPR, AED) while attending

Qualifications

• Must be a registered UK student.
• No related experience required.
• Wilderness First Responder certification will be required after hire and training provided.

Responsibilities

• Participate in pre-trip meetings with Coordinator and Assistant Director.
• Conduct pre-trip meetings with participants as needed.
• Help promote and market the trips throughout the semester.
• Lead at least 2 trips in the Fall and then again in the Spring.
• Update the Coordinator with travel updates when applicable.
• Maintain WFR, First Aid, CPR and AED certifications as well as in-house trainings.
