Qualifications

• Has written proof of completion of 16-hour ADL training from an authorized school/instructor.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, self-discipline and a passion for serving others.
• Follows safety policies and procedures.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to follow documentation protocols.
• Respects and adheres to Patient Bill of Rights and Employee Responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to residents under supervision and within training scope.
• Change bed linens and maintain grooming supplies in resident rooms.
• Assist with ambulation and transfers using proper body mechanics.
• Routinely reposition residents and monitor skin integrity.
• Support nursing staff by completing non-nursing tasks such as making beds and answering call lights.
• Assist with range of motion exercises and reality orientation with residents.
• Identify and report any condition that requires management attention.
