Job summary

Amarilloskilledcenter is seeking a Student Nurse Aide to support residents in a Texas long-term care setting. You will provide personal care, assist with transfers, and help maintain a safe, clean environment under supervision.

The ideal candidate has completed 16-hour ADL training, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping others. You’ll work with nursing staff, document care, and follow safety policies in a team-oriented, respectful workplace.

Qualifications

• Must provide written proof of completion of 16-hour ADL training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Self-discipline, patience and a passion for serving others are required.
• Follow safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to follow documentation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to residents (grooming, bathing, peri care, dressing) under supervision.
• Change bed linens and maintain supplies in resident rooms.
• Assist with ambulation and transfers using proper body mechanics and devices.
• Routinely reposition residents and monitor skin integrity.
• Assist nursing staff with non-nursing tasks (making beds, passing water/ice, answering call lights, organizing supplies).
• Assist with range of motion exercises and reality orientation with residents.
• Identify and report conditions requiring management attention.
