Job summary

Illinois School District U-46 is seeking a Musical Theatre: Asst Director to support a high-quality program with student-centered instruction and collaboration with the Fine Arts department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Education preferred
• Appropriate Professional Educator's License (PEL) preferred
• High School Diploma acceptable with related coursework/experience

Responsibilities

• Implement evidence-based instructional strategies engaging all students and differentiating for varied abilities and backgrounds.
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, administrators, teachers, and community leaders.
• Maintain high expectations for achievement and behavior and motivate students to excel.
• Assist Director with stage blocking and show design; coordinate costumes and props with students.
• Assist in securing rehearsal spaces, publicity needs, and volunteer coordination.
• Oversee and assist with production finances and attendance at all shows.
