Job summary

Cornerstone Capital Bank in Seattle is looking for an aspiring mortgage professional eager to learn, grow, and build a long-term career in lending. You will join a collaborative team and gain hands-on experience across purchase and refinance lending while developing the skills to lead your own production.

You’ll build relationships with real estate partners, learn loan products and guidelines, and advance toward becoming a producing Loan Officer.

Qualifications

• Experience in real estate, mortgage, escrow, title, banking, transaction coordination, client service, or sales.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Desire to learn the mortgage business and eventually become a producing Loan Officer.
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Existing NMLS license is preferred but not required; licensing support may be available depending on experience and state requirements

Responsibilities

• Assisting borrowers throughout the loan process from application to closing.
• Supporting Loan Officers with lead conversion, client communication, and pipeline management.
• Building relationships with real estate agents, brokerages, and industry professionals.
• Learning mortgage products, guidelines, and lending strategies.
• Helping create an exceptional customer experience through proactive communication and service.
• Developing the skills and knowledge needed to eventually manage your own production pipeline.
• Staying current on industry trends, loan programs, and regulatory requirements
