Job summary

Lincoln Middle School in Clarkston, WA is seeking an LMS Assistant Football Coach to support the athletic program and assist the head coach in conducting practices and games. The role requires availability for 3 p.m. practices, some weekends, and adherence to safety and training requirements.

Reports to the Principal/Athletic Director and participates in on-field duties, while maintaining a positive, sportsmanlike environment for student athletes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass fingerprinting/background check.
• Must have First Aid/CPR or be able to obtain before working with athletes.
• Age: 19+ for Assistant Coaching Positions and 21+ for Head Coaching Positions per WIAA.
• Must complete WIAA training and SafeSchools onboarding prior to working with athletes.
• Be available for 3 p.m. daily practices and some weekends as required.
• Prior coaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Lincoln Middle School athletic programs and demonstrate commitment to education and coaching.
• Assist the head coach and follow guidance from athletic director and principal.
• Be knowledgeable about sport rules and safety standards.
• Accompany team to all games and practices; act in head coach's absence.
• Maintain first aid/CPR certification and clock hours as needed.
• Model good sportsmanship and professional conduct at all times.
