The incumbent collaborates with middle/high school staff, plans practices, aids in game preparation, and upholds district and VHSL guidelines while serving as a role model for students.

Qualifications

• Must meet district and Virginia coaching certification requirements

Responsibilities

• Assists in evaluating players and guiding skill development through drills.
• Helps plan practices and implement game strategies.
• Coordinates with Head Coach and other staff to ensure program consistency.
• Ensures supervision and safety during practices, games, and travel.
• Assists with equipment and logistics management.
• Mentors student-athletes in academics, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Maintains professional conduct with players, officials, and parents.
• Attends required meetings and professional development sessions.
