Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Junior Information Systems Security Officer to support IA initiatives and RMF-based security operations in a DoD environment. You will assist with risk assessments, SSP/SAR/ SCTM preparation, and maintain system security across classified environments.

The role requires DoD 8140 IAM/IAT certification, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate with engineering and security teams to improve resilience and compliance. TS/SCI with polygraph eligibility is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field with DoD RMF experience.
• DoD 8140 IAM I/II or IAT III certification by time clearance is awarded.
• Experience applying RMF in DoD environments and IA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee security operations for classified environments and RMF governance.
• Lead risk assessments and publish SSPs, SARs, and SCTMs.
• Manage configuration control for software, hardware, and firmware.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to embed security best practices.
• Support ATO lifecycle and ensure compliance with DoD RMF.
