Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Exposure to IBM i / AS/400 concepts or enterprise platforms preferred.
• Exposure to LANSA (Visual LANSA, RDML/RDMLX) through coursework or self-study preferred.
• Foundational programming concepts: variables, control flow, functions, debugging, version control.
• Willingness to learn Visual LANSA and IBM i concepts in a structured environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn Visual LANSA development fundamentals, including RDML/RDMLX, and reusable components.
• Assist with development, enhancements, and maintenance of business applications on IBM i environment.
• Participate in requirements discussions and translate guidance into technical tasks.
• Write, test, and debug code with guidance from senior developers; follow standards.
• Support incident and service requests by reproducing issues and collecting logs.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for the work completed.
• Collaborate with analysts and project teams to translate business requirements into solutions.
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues across development, testing, and production environments.
• Ensure adherence to development methodologies and documentation requirements.
• Participate in architectural reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to system specifications and operational procedures.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and safety protocols.
