Job summary

Reliance, Inc. is seeking a Visual LANSA Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications in a fully remote capacity. The role requires deep LANSA expertise and strong IBM i (AS/400) skills, delivering high‑quality solutions within a corporate framework.

You will collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and technical teams across time zones to translate requirements into robust, scalable LANSA-based systems, while adhering to coding standards and security policies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Visual LANSA experience, component-based development.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• Extensive IBM i (AS/400) experience, DB2/400, CL concepts.
• Strong SQL and data modeling knowledge.
• Remote work experience with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Visual LANSA and LANSA frameworks.
• Modernize LANSA-based systems per architecture standards.
• Collaborate with analysts, PMs, and tech teams to translate requirements into solutions.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across dev, test, and production.
• Adhere to development methodologies, coding standards, and documentation.
• Participate in architectural reviews and planning.
• Support LANSA integration with external systems.
• Produce technical documentation and system specs.
• Ensure IT security and audit compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
