Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 0–2 years of programming or IT experience (internships ok).
• Fundamental understanding of programming logic.
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
• Prior exposure to IBM iSeries/AS400 systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior programmers in maintaining and modifying applications using RPG, CL/CLLE, SQLRPGLE, DB2/SQL.
• Support routine tasks such as data entry, file processing and reporting.
• Document code functions and updates for long-term maintainability.
• Troubleshoot basic user-reported issues via internal helpdesk.
• Monitor system jobs, backups, and scheduled tasks on IBM iSeries.
• Learn enterprise tools like Mimix, BRMS, and MFA software.
• Participate in testing and validating system changes or new features.
• Perform user profile maintenance and basic security administration under supervision.
• Engage with users to gather feedback and provide support.
