Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet and converse with guests to suggest or receive cocktail orders.
• Prepare and serve cocktails to customers following hotel guidelines.
• Clean and organize bar to beverage department standards.
• Prepare orders to replenish stock at bar to pre-determined par levels.
• Provide exceptional service to customers.
• Follow departmental cash handling policies and procedures.
• Prepare cocktails for cocktail servers.
• Knowledge of wine and champagne service at table games.
• Work station must be maintained and left stocked and cleaned for next shift.
• Garnish drinks.
• Ensure health and sanitation practices are followed.
• Ensure correct glassware / stemware is used according to Beverage Department standards.
• Acknowledge every guest with a prompt and friendly greeting.
• Answer questions related to property correctly and professionally.
• Handle cash, credit cards and room charges in accordance with departmental procedures.
• Assist new employees with training and answering questions.
• Check IDs if the guest appears to be under 30.
• Replace dirty ashtrays by capping off ashtrays with a clean ashtray.
• React to the needs of management for special host requests.
• Inform management of any problems or concerns.
• Be ethical and professional at all times.
• Communicate with Management to keep them informed of special requests from a guest.
• Answer telephone using the property telephone etiquette standards.
• Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department.
