Job summary

Joe Coffee Company is seeking Baristas in Training (BITs) at Bryant Park, New York, to learn specialty coffee and grow into certified Joe Coffee baristas. Part-time, $17 per hour plus tips, with strong emphasis on hospitality, teamwork, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Prior coffee shop experience desirable.
• Prior experience serving guests.

Responsibilities

• Deliver welcoming, inclusive, and attentive customer service that reflects Joe Coffee’s hospitality standards.
• Accurately operate the POS system, including order entry, cash handling, and payment processing.
• Prepare non-espresso beverages and food items according to company recipes and quality standards (drip coffee, cold brew, tea, matcha, seasonal drinks, etc.).
• Maintain cafe cleanliness, organization, and food safety by following established cleaning and sanitation standards.
• Actively participate in training, coaching, and feedback to build skills and prepare for full barista certification.
