Job summary

Batchelor & Kimball, an EMCOR Group company, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in Muskogee, OK to support the Project and Senior Project Managers with the administrative tasks surrounding the design phase, pre-construction and construction phase project management, including managing scope, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and the out-to-bid process.

The role also involves overseeing the design team and coordinating with sub-contractors.

Qualifications

• BA/Associates degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings.
• Working knowledge of project budgeting and pricing of materials and labor.
• 2+ years of experience in the construction field and may lead projects up to $2.5M in scope.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Project Management team to help manage and estimate construction projects.
• Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.
• Reviews drawings for correctness.
• Assembles miscellaneous details necessary to prepare job bid proposals.
• Develops relationships with sub-contractors and interacts with them to secure necessary information for job bids.
• Support Project Manager in collecting information to complete the monthly WIP report.
• Assist with projecting and adherence to job budget and timing of tasks.
• Maintains project schedule by monitoring progress and coordinating activities.
• Controls project costs by recommending expenditures and administering contractor contracts.
• Prepares project status reports by analysis and summarization of information and trends.
