Qualifications

• The Aquaculture Technician in Training will demonstrate a passion for fish husbandry and a good work ethic.
• Duties include daily farm chores such as feeding, mortality removal, and screen scrubbing.
• Requires ability to follow safety guidelines and understand farm workflows.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of facility sections, pond numbers, and rearing areas.
• Emergency Action Plan understanding.
• Dependable, trustworthy, and consistent work ethic.
• General understanding of feed schedules and farm workflow.
• Awareness of biosecurity and hatch-house/disinfection procedures.
• Record mortalities and assist with fish transfers.
• Routine maintenance of equipment and timely completion of tasks.
