Healing Rock Recovery in Billings, MT is seeking an Addiction Counselor candidate to gain supervised hours toward licensure. This full-time, day-shift role offers mentorship and a collaborative clinical team dedicated to recovery support.

You will lead individual and group counseling, help build recovery plans, and provide a steady, encouraging presence for clients on their journey to sobriety. This is an opportunity to grow professionally in a faith-informed setting.

Qualifications

• Montana LAC Candidate actively working toward Licensed Addiction Counselor credential.
• Degree or coursework in addiction studies, psychology, social work, counseling, human services, or related field.
• Experience in a substance use or behavioral health setting is a plus; early-career counselors are encouraged to apply.
• Compassionate, dependable, team-oriented approach and a heart for recovery work.
• Comfort providing care in a faith-informed, culturally responsive environment.
• Availability for an on-site, daytime schedule in Billings, Montana.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family counseling to adults in substance use and co-occurring recovery.
• Develop and update personalized, recovery-focused treatment plans with each client.
• Support clients through everyday challenges and moments of crisis with compassion and sound judgment.
• Work closely with medical, MAT, and case-management team to support whole-person care.
• Connect clients with alumni support, sober living, and community resources as they transition forward.
• Keep timely, accurate, and confidential client records.
• Deliver culturally responsive care that honors each client's background and beliefs.
